This endeavor has been a long time coming. The intent of the site is to keep all flower shops across Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington communicating with each other. This site is being funded by the Montana Florists Association at this point. You will find on this site a bit of history, the current newsletter, the Board of Directors, information about flower week and convention, applications for membership, the form for annual dues and more. We will be accepting your comments and trying to tailor this site to be a place that you will return to time and time again.
On this site you will be able to find members e-mails that you can use to communicate with them. You may need a container that another shop may have and asking the different shops in a mass e-mail could take less time and result in finding that container. When you sign in to this site you will be asked to use your e-mail address and it will be added to the list. To do this you must go to the contact us link and fill in your information there. The Montana Florists Association has always strived to bring the best education to the state possible. This is usually done at the annual convention. You will find that those 3 days in October are filled with information that is directed to increase a shop's profitability. At convention you will find a business speaker and top designer to share with you their experiences in the floral industry. Networking at convention can not only help your shop but it can help you on a personal basis. MFA hopes that this site will further your networking abilities. We all know that communication with one another can and will educate all of us. We all come with experiences that sharing them will help another person avoid the pitfalls that we have already experienced. You will find a shop from as far as Washington to Wyoming that has gone through some of the things that you are currently going through...you are not alone.
Members of the MFA include shops that have been in business for 80 years to shops that have only been in business for a year. Everyone has something to offer. The floral industry has always been willing to improve by helping someone else succeed. The more that everyone knows the more confident that another shop is that they can send an order to them and it will be filled professionally. Understanding the limitations a shop has can only help everyone.
